Use the Permit Application wizard to guide you through the process
of creating and submitting a permit application to the Colorado
Public Utilities Commission.
Each permit application is a little different and the type of
information you must supply depends upon the type of permit you
apply for.
Whenever possible, the system automatically fills in whatever information
it can from information you have already provided (either from previous
applications or from the account signup process). If our information is out
of date or wrong, you can correct it by contacting the Colorado Public
Utilities Commission.
Navigation buttons, located at the bottom of each screen, help you move
through the application process (see figure 1).

The Save and Stop button allows you to save your permit application at
any time so that you may come back at some point in the future and
continue your application without losing any information you have
previously entered.
Required fields are indicated with a red triangle (

) placed to the left of the field label.

| Towing |
A towing carrier moves abandoned or otherwise disabled vehicles to a temporary holding area or storage lot. |
| Child Activity Bus |
The child activity bus transports children to and from childcare, preschool or public and private educational facilities. |
| Property |
If you carry personal property of any kind, you need a Property permit. |
| Hazmat Annual |
A Hazmat Annual permit is required for any carrier that transports hazardous materials anywhere within the state of Colorad more than once. Single trip hazmat permits are available for qualified carriers at the various ports of entry. |
| Fire Crew Transport |
A Fire Crew Transport moves firefighters between two locations. |
| Luxury Limousine |
A Luxury Limousine carries persons in a vehical designed for maximum comfort. |
| Household Goods |
Usually, Household Goods carriers employ a moving van to transport the contents of a home or office to another home or office. |
| Charter Scenic Bus |
Moving persons to and from a scenic or recreational location requires a Chart Scenic Bus carrier permit |
| Off Road Charter |
The Off Road Charter takes individuals on high adventure trips or safaris over dirt roads or jeep trails. |
