Performance Planning and Management
Help Copying a Performance Plan

Use the Copy Existing Performance Plan page to create a new performance plan by copying the job duties, goals and measures from an existing plan.


Non-Supervisory Employees
May only copy their own plans.

Supervisors
May copy a plan from any of their employees to any of their employees.

The following items are copied over from the existing plan:

  1. Job Duties (weights if any)
  2. Goals
  3. Measures
General information and and Behavioral factors are not copied from the existing plan. This information is gathered from the system.


Follow the steps below to access the Copy utility:

Non-Supervisory Employees

  1. Select the plan you wish to copy by clicking the radio button corresponding to that plan.

  2. Click on the Copy Plan button found on the Performance Planning page.

  3. Continue with the Finishing Up steps below.

Supervisors

  1. Go to the Performance Planning page for the person whose plan you wish to copy.

  2. Select the plan you wish to copy by clicking the radio button corresponding to that plan.

  3. Click on the Copy Plan button.

  4. Select the staff member that you wish to copy the plan to by clicking on the radio button corresponding to that staff member. Press the OK button to continue.

  5. Continue with the Finishing Up steps below.

Finishing Up

Verify the employee and position data as well as the information about the plan you are copying from. Then enter the following information needed for the new plan:

Reason
Click the radio button corresponding to the type of plan that you are creating. This will default to 'Annual'.

Start Date
Enter the beginning date for the appraisal period using mm/dd/yyyy format (eg: use 5/1/2000 as the start date when creating a new annual plan for fiscal year 2001).

End Date
Enter the end date of the appraisal period using mm/dd/yyyy format (eg: use 4/30/2001 as the end date when creating a new annual plan for fiscal year 2001).

Click on the OK button to copy the performance plan and go to the New Plan page. From here you can modify the job duties, goals and measures on the newly created plan.

Click on the Cancel button to ignore the request to copy the selected plan and return to the Performance Planning page.
