The Filer Administrator is responsible for nearly all aspects of a company's
participation in the E-Filings system.
As the filer administrator you...
- Make filings for the company you represent.
- Accept service of process for the company you represent.
- Authorize who can and cannot file on behalf of the company, including
attorneys and consultants. The filer administrator determines which
attorneys and consultants are able to permit members of their staff
to make e-filings via the attorney/consultant, on behalf of the company.
- Manage the rules that govern how process is served.
You normally prevent an attorney from filing on your behalf when the attorney
is no longer associated with the legal firm that represents your company or if
you have switched representation.
By registering for the E-Filings system, a filer administrator agrees to accept
service through the E-Filings system for all matters before the Colorado
Public Utilities Commission (including but not limited to: service of process,
notice, pleadings, and other papers). By designating oneself as a filer administrator
for a company, the filer administrator agrees that he or she is authorized by the
company to accept service on its behalf and agrees to accept service of process
on behalf of the company through the E-Filings system.
To help ensure timely notification of documents served upon the company, the
filer administrator must maintain an accurate E-Filings profile, including
email address and phone numbers.
Each company may authorize up to three filer administrators to manage the
E-Filings account on its behalf.
