The Colorado Securities Board (the "Board") was created by legislation in 1994. The Board is comprised of five individuals, appointed by the Governor and approved by the Senate. By statute, the composition of the Board is as follows:
(Note: By statute, one of the Board members must reside west of the Continental Divide).
The Board aids and advises the Securities Commissioner in connection with his duties including, but not limited to, the promulgation of rules, issuance of orders, formulation of policies, setting of fees and other issues affecting the Division of Securities and securities regulation in Colorado.
The Board is to meet at least on a quarterly basis. Board members are appointed for three-year terms. The members of the Board are as follows:
