Office of Investigations

Consumer Protection is Our Mission.

This website is designed to assist the consumer and the licensee in understanding the investigative process of the Division of Professions and Occupations. The Division is responsible for most of the professions or occupations regulated by the State of Colorado. If your complaint does not fall within the jurisdiction of the Division of Professions and Occupations, this website may assist you in locating the appropriate agency to address your complaint.

We Changed Our Name!

The Division is now called the Division of Professions and Occupations, effective August 8, 2012. To help our consumers and licensees more readily locate and utilize our services, the legislature passed House Bill 12-1055 during the 2012 legislative session. Please note, the Division of Professions and Occupations will still be housed within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Services the Division currently offers will remain the same.

Automated License Verification

As an alternative to calling each Board, the Division offers an automated option for verifying licensees' information.

Search the Automated Licensure Information System Online - ALISON  ALISON offers data available to the public via the Internet for all professions and occupations licensed by the Division.

View Registrations Online Documents - ROD
This online system makes certain scanned documents related to disciplinary actions taken on all Colorado licensees available to the public via the Internet. Stipulations, Final Agency Orders, and Suspensions that were in effect in February 2000, plus any that became effective since that date, are among the documents that are now available.
