Course Approval

Continuing education courses must be in topic areas specified in the
Colorado Revised Statutes Title 12, Article 61 Section 110.5. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for application processing.

Continuing education courses must be in compliance with the Colorado Real Estate Commission's Continuing Education Rule B. Continuing Education Rule B

Please Note: During the August 3rd, 2010 meeting of the Colorado Real Estate Commissions, several changes were adopted with an effective date of September 30, 2010. These changes dramatically change the approval requirements for real estate broker continuing education credits. Please see our rulemaking page for updated rules.

Please send the Commission a completed course approval application for each course requesting approval.  Incomplete applications will result in the denial of the course approval.  Course approval only applies for continuing education (CE) credit for real estate brokers.

Applications must be submitted via email. There is an email submission button at the bottom of the form that you will use for form submission. If this is the first time you have digitally signed a PDF form, clicking on the signature field at the bottom of the application will initiate the creation of a digital signature file in Adobe Acrobat. Follow the prompts to create a digital signature. Once you've completed all other required fields in the form, click on the "Email Form" button at the bottom of the application. The email address will show up in your installed email client along with the application file displayed as an attachment. Attach all additional supporting documents (outline, teaching credentials, etc.) to this email and submit to the email address provided by the form.

It is not necessary to submit a request for approval for the Commission Update course if you are already approved to provide the Commission Update course.
