This announcement provides general information on the available conservation easement tax credit balance. Due to an intentional delay in the issuance and reporting of the Tax Credit Certificates, the actual available balance may differ. Additional tax credit applications, which have not been processed or applied to the tax credit cap, may have been submitted on or after the date of this announcement. These unprocessed applications may affect the actual available balance at the time any new applications are submitted to the Division of Real Estate. A landowner should not use this balance announcement when deciding to donate a conservation easement.

Tax Credit Certificate Application
Please take care in completing the Tax Credit Certificate Application. Any errors or omissions will cause a delay in the processing of the tax credit certificate claim and may result in an effective date for a future tax year or the Tax Credit Certificate to not be issued. You may not utilize your tax credit prior to your tax year beginning in the year identified on the Certificate.
Notify the Division immediately if any information reported on the Tax Credit Certificate Application or attached documents changes.
