Maximum Mileage Charge Adjustment for Non-consensual Tow

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission adjusts monthly the maximum mileage charge a towing carrier may charge for nonconsensual tows of vehicles with a gross weight of less than 10,000 lbs. This allowable charge is based on the United States Department of Energy “weekly retail on-highway diesel prices” for the Rocky Mountain Region. It is adjusted monthly.

The base rate, maximum surcharge, and maximum rate are shown below.
