A discussion was held regarding the appeal process to the PUC of a local government action regarding the permit of a major electrical facility. The governing statute may be found at: Section 29-20-108 C.R.S. Local government regulation - location, construction, or improvement of major electrical or natural gas facilities.

8. Discussion - Task Force

The members discussed procedural proposals for completing the Task Force's responsibilities. It is requested that by September 29th Task Force members reduce to writing their proposals that they wish the Task Force to recommend to the General Assembly. This date was set to give members time to consider the pros and cons of the proposals before the next scheduled meeting. The final required meeting will begin at 9:00am on Oct. 5th and continue throughout the day. Options regarding how the Report to the General Assembly would be written and edited were discussed. The need or usefulness of further Task Force meetings to finalize recommendations will be finalized at that meeting.

An effort will be made to develop a working document containing the various known proposed recommendations. A preliminary draft outline of the structure of the Final Report will be emailed to members.
