State law gives the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) the authority
to regulate the rates and services of public utilities within the
state. By law, public utilities are defined as electric, common
carrier, pipeline, gas, telephone, telegraph and water corporations
that supply their services to the public.
From here viewers may access newly posted industry information
that may include annual reports and forms, notices of industry rulemaking,
and/or reports concerning utilities from the Federal government.

Colorado's New Energy Economy - Town Meetings

Coloradans discussed “Colorado’s New Energy Economy – the Path Forward” at town meetings
held throughout Colorado during August and September of this year. As part of the state “listening tour”, 269 interested citizens, citizen groups, utility representatives, and industry affiliates discussed concerns, issues, and potential solutions for moving forward with Governor
Ritter’s New Energy Economy agenda.

Telecommunications Industry, Conditions and Trends
Commission 2007 Survey of Telecommunications Market
In order to understand the telecommunications market in Colorado, the Commission issued an audit questionnaire in 2007 to all telecommunications carriers in the state. An audit report by Commission Staff has been provided to the Commissioners for their information and use and is not otherwise available.
