Public Utilities Commission Progress Report to the Colorado General Assembly on Electric Utilities Integrated Infrastructure - PDF

House Bill 09-1345 directs that the Public Utilities Commission confer with all owners and operators of transmission facilities in Colorado and with affected stakeholders and report to the General Assembly on the integrated intermediate-term and long-term plans for improving transmission infrastructure in Colorado and the region.

Interest Rate on Consumer Deposits

For calendar year 2009, the rate was 2.48%.
For calendar year 2010 the rate will be 0.63%.

Jurisdictional utilities are reminded that it might be necessary to file an advice
letter and amend their tariffs to reflect the change in the rate of interest to be paid on its
customers' deposits. Filings to implement this tariff change are expected to be filed
December 1, 2009
with an effective date on January 1, 2010

Conference Draws Top State/ Federal Energy Officials 

Gov. Bill Ritter, Jr., Under Secretary of Energy Dr. Kristina M. Johnson and Commissioner Marc Spitzer of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission were among those headlining the third annual Colorado New Energy Economy: Powering the Future conference.

This year's event was held on Oct. 20, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, 1550 Court Place. The conference was sponsored by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, the Governor's Energy Office, the Office of Consumer Counsel, and Energy Outreach Colorado. See the conference website HERE.

Report to the Commission by July 30, 2008 on Disconnections and Arrearages

Although there is no current requirement in our rules that utilities report data about disconnections and arrearages to the Comission, we are asking Colorado's utilities to voluntarily provide this infomation at this time.

For this initial report, we would like utilities to provide their data in the NARUC format - the NARUC survey: NARUC 2008 Disconnection Survey

Please provide your first report by Wednesday. July 30. For ease of tracking, the Comission has
opened a repository docket, Docket No. 08M-305EG. Please send your reports ro the attention of PUC Director Doug Dean and reference the above docket number.
