Docket Naming Conventions - Designations
The naming convention for PUC docket numbers is broken down as follows: Year; proceeding type; number; and industry. Some transportation dockets will have an additional suffix extension to further identify the proceeding type.
For example, the hypothetical docket number 10A-123T is interpreted as follows: the proceeding was established in 2010; The filing which established the proceeding is an Application; it was the 123rd proceeding established in 2010; and it is a Telecommunications docket.
