Plumbing Contractor Information
In
order to perform plumbing contracting in the State of Colorado,
you must submit a completed Colorado Plumbing
Contractor application, pay the current registration fee, and
meet the following criteria:
- You
must either be or employ a Colorado licensed master plumber
who is a full-time employee and is the responsible party for all
plumbing work done by the company. The master plumber must
sign an Acknowledgment of Responsibility
and can only be the responsible party for one company.
- You
must submit evidence that you comply with the Worker's Compensation
and Unemployment Compensation laws (Office of Unemployment Insurance - http://www.coworkforce.com/uib/, Division of Worker's Compensation
- http://www.coworkforce.com/dwc/).
- Out-of-state
corporations are required to obtain an Authority to Conduct Business
in the State of Colorado from the Colorado
Secretary of State's office (phone 303-894-2200). Limited
Liability Partnerships should also contact the Secretary of State's
office.
