Plumbing Permits Online
This online system was designed to allow homeowners and contractors to order plumbing permits, pay for them using a credit card, and request inspections via the Internet.
Make sure
your job site address is within the state's jurisdiction for inspection.
The state does not inspect in local jurisdictions having their
own plumbing inspection program. You are responsible for determining
the correct inspection authority.
If the county where your job site is located is listed below, please
do not continue with the permit application process.

If you are a homeowner hiring a plumbing contractor, your contractor is responsible for obtaining the required permits. Please do not continue with the permit application process.
Make sure
you have the following information handy before entering the online
permit system:
- Address of the job site.
- Directions to the job site.
- Valuation Determination (No refunds after 6 months of permit issue date)
- Commercial – valuation of installation (cost to customer) of labor, materials, and items.
- Residential – fixture count for the installation (traps, water hammer arrestors, backflow preventers, water heaters, fuel gas outlets, and line pressure regulators - for gas piping).
- Credit card
information.
Reminder: You cannot use the online system to request permit transfers, permit extensions or make informational changes to your permit (property address, spelling corrections, etc.). For any of these services, please contact the Denver office at Plumbing@dora.state.co.us.
