Board
Meeting Dates
The members of the Examining Board of Plumbers meet in
public session to discuss issues concerning product approvals,
license applicant qualifications, variance requests to the plumbing
code and complaints for possible violation of the plumbing statutes.
All meetings are open to the public; however, pursuant to statute, a portion of the meeting is determined to be client-attorney privileged and will be closed to the public.
The location of the meeting is noted on the agenda (see the public notices link above), which is typically posted two weeks prior to the meeting date.

The board consists of seven appointed members: one journeyman plumber, one master plumber, two engaged in the construction of residential or commercial buildings as plumbing contractors, one engaged in the construction of residential or commercial buildings as a general contractor, one member or employee of a local government agency conducting plumbing inspections, and one appointed from the public at large. A representative of the department of public health and environment shall serve as an ex officio non-voting member. At least one member shall be a resident of the western slope of the state, defined as that western part of the state separated from the eastern part of the state by the continental divide.
