Registered Nurse - 2007 Online License Renewals
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING LICENSE RENEWAL
* PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR ONLINE RENEWAL *
Due to Colorado’s implementation of the Nurse Licensure Compact on October 1, 2007, your RN license renewal this year will include a Declaration of Primary State of Residence along with the mandatory renewal questionnaire. Your declared primary state of residence will determine your eligibility for a multi-state license (see List of Compact States below).
- If your primary residence is another compact state, DO NOT RENEW YOUR COLORADO LICENSE. NO RENEWAL REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
In order to continue to practice in Colorado, you must apply for and be granted licensure in your primary state of residence.
- If your primary residence is Colorado and your license is not restricted, on October 1, 2007, your license will automatically be designated as a multi-state license valid for practice in all compact states. Any licenses you hold in other compact states will be cancelled, as you are allowed to hold a license in only one compact state and it must be your primary state of residence.
You must still renew your Colorado license before the end of the grace period (November 30, 2007) or your license will lapse. Click here to go directly to online renewal -OR- Click here for online renewal instructions
- If your primary residence is Colorado and your license is restricted, on October 1, 2007, your Colorado license will remain active; however, it will be designated as a single-state license, valid for practice only in Colorado.
