The Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act of 2010 mandates that specific healthcare professionals complete online healthcare profession profiles prior to the renewal of a license, certificate or registration. This optional webinar will outline the new requirements and demonstrate the online system licensees will use to manage their compliance.
This webinar is not mandatory for licensure renewal. If you are unable or not interested in attending this webinar, you may still comply with these requirements by accessing the online system at www.dora.state.co.us/hppp.

Recent Legislation
Legislation passed during the 2011 Legislative Session impacts the Division of Registrations. The Division is developing an implementation process at this time. Please check back in the near future to learn about any changes to rules, requirements and important deadlines.
The Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act of 2010.
Senate Bill 10-124 enacts the "Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act of 2010" to extend reporting requirements to many health care professionals who apply for or renew a license, certification, or registration, on or after July 1, 2011. Currently licensed Midwives will be required to complete online profiles at their next renewal in 2011. All Midwives newly licensed after July 1, 2011 will be required to complete online profiles before their applications will be approved.

Direct-Entry Midwives Authority Applications Temporarily Removed From Website
The authority applications for Direct-Entry Midwives have been temporarily removed from the Division of Registrations’ website due to some minormodifications that need to be made to their content. The applications should be reposted to the website by Friday, February 17th.
