X-Ray Certification
the Colorado Medical Board has revised Board Rule 700, which governs the education and training standards for unlicensed personnel exposing ionizing radiation. This would include:
- Limited Scope Operators
- Bone Densitometry Equipment Operators
- X-Ray Machine Operators
- Tomography Operators
- Mammography Machine Operators
Persons not possessing a medical license who operate machine sources of ionizing radiation or who administer such radiation to patients will now be regulated by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
