
Requesting a Transcript from FSMB or NBME
Providing the Board with your Examination History
Do you need to forward a copy of your licensing exam scores to the Board? The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) can provide official transcripts for the FLEX, SPEX and USMLE; the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) provides verificaton of NBME Parts history.
FLEX, SPEC and USMLE transcripts being sent to a state medical board can be requested online by visiting the FSMB website. Transcripts being sent to a recipient other than a state medical board must be requested by completing the paper-based Examination and Board Action History Report form. Up to two transcripts can be requested for $50*. Transcripts requests are processed within five (5) days; most boards utilize a secure website to obtain an electronic copy of the transcript. Otherwise, express delivery is available for an additional fee.
NBME transcripts can be requested online by visiting the NBME website. Up to five copies can be requested for $50* with a $5* charge for each additional copy requested at the same time. NBME transcript requests are processed within 5-7 business days.
