Attention Chiropractors:
Increase in Liability Insurance: As of July 1, 2009, the minimum professional liability insurance requirements for chiropractors licensed in Colorado will increase to $300,000 per claim and an aggregate liability limit for all claims during the year of $1 million per year, pursuant to C.R.S. 12-33-116.5.
Animal Chiropractic Authority (DOGS and HORSES ONLY): Procedures for licensed chiropractors in Colorado to receive authority to practice animal chiropractics on dogs and horses only in Colorado will be available at this website towards the end of the year.
The recently signed Chiropractic Sunset Legislation makes additional changes to the practice act that takes effect January 1, 2010. It is your responsibility as a licensed chiropractor in Colorado to be familiar with those changes. Please check back periodically for additional updates regarding Rules, Regulations, and Procedures.
