Recent Legislation
Legislation passed during the 2011 Legislative Session impacts the Division of Registrations. The Division is developing an implementation process at this time. Please check back in the near future to learn about any changes to rules, requirements and important deadlines.
The Office of Boxing licenses 4 professions in the sports of professional boxing and kickboxing. The Office regulates all professional events in the state of Colorado with the exception of events held on Indian reservations.
Activities include:
Reviewing applications for licensure for Boxing and Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts, approving matches supervising events, developing and promulgating rules.
The Office disciplines licensees for violation of the Colorado Professional Boxing Safety Act and developes rules to prevent unauthorized or illegal events from taking place. The Office utilizes a national database for tracking suspensions of licensees across the country.
The Office communicates regularly with various participants throughout the country who are interested in participating in events in Colorado. The Office communicates with the Boxing Commission to keep Commission members apprised of the boxing environment in Colorado
