Wall Certificates

License Renewal Information. Barber, esthetician, hairstylist, and manicurist licenses expire on March 31 of even-numbered years. Cosmetologist licenses expire on April 30 of either odd-numbered years or even-numbered years, dependent upon the issuance date. Renewal forms are mailed to the last known address on file approximately six (6) weeks prior to the expiration date.

and follow the instructions for the FaxBack program.


Definitions:
  • License by Examination. You are applying to take an examination in order to qualify for licensure in Colorado. Applicants must apply through the Pearson VUE website.
  • License by Endorsement. You hold an active, valid license in another state and wish to apply for licensure in Colorado.
  • License by Endorsement: Foreign-Trained Applicant. You were educated outside the United States and you hold an active, valid license in another country. You must have your credentials reviewed by an approved credentialing agency.
  • Renew. You currently hold a Colorado license and are in a renewal period.
  • Reinstate. Your Colorado license has lapsed or expired and you wish to reinstate the license.
    (For purposes of licensure status, the terms "lapsed" and "expired" have the same meaning.)
