Using the Division's Website Resources

Our website is an excellent resource for professionals who are currently licensed or seeking licensing with the State of Colorado, as well as for members of the public who need to find out more about licensees and the rules and regulations governing each profession.

All boards and programs have unique websites with specific information that should help answer your questions. For licensing questions, start by selecting the appropriate Licensee / Applicant Services web page. Each website also has links to current laws, rules, and policies; information about the complaint process; and other links and web pages that will provide you with pertinent information.

Due to the heavy volume of e-mail requests we receive every day, we encourage you to visit these websites before writing to us. We are certain you will find the information you need. If not, a link is provided so you can contact each individual board or program.

Other Professions, Occupations, and Business Licensing

If the profession you are searching for is not found anywhere on this website, it is NOT regulated by the Division of Registrations.

Please refer to the home page of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies for information about other state regulatory agencies (such as the Divisions of Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Securities; and the Public Utilities Commission).

Or, you can refer to the Occupational/Industry License Database provided by the Colorado Office of Economic Development. This is a good resource to help citizens determine how an industry is regulated, and by which agency.

For general business registration and licensing, please contact the Colorado Secretary of State.

Good luck with your search.
