Definitions:
  • Original License by Examination. You are applying to take an examination in order to qualify for licensure in Colorado.
    • Reapplication for Original License. You previously have been approved for the exam but have not taken the exam in more than one (1) year.
  • Original License by Endorsement. You hold an active license in another state and wish to apply for licensure in Colorado.
  • Renew. You currently hold a Colorado license and are in a renewal period.
  • Reinstate. Your Colorado license has lapsed or expired and you wish to reinstate the license.
(For purposes of licensure status, the terms "lapsed" and "expired" have the same meaning.)
    • If your license has been lapsed or expired for more than two years, you must take and pass the full written exam. You will be reauthorized for the exam on receipt of a completed reinstatement application.
