NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR RULEMAKING BY THE STATE BOARD OF PHYSICAL THERAPY:
Due to a computer glitch at the Colorado Secretary of State's Office, the official notification of the proposed rulemaking by the State Board of Physical Therapy which allows for public comment must be delayed, and additional notice must be provided. The original date for public comment on rulemaking originally set for this coming Monday, April 2nd, is cancelled. The new rulemaking day will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The rulemaking will take place at DORA offices – 1560 Broadway, Denver, Colorado. We welcome the public and hope that the new date of May 8, 2012, will allow you additional time to prepare your comments. Thank you.
The Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act of 2010
Senate Bill 10-124 enacts the "Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act of 2010" to extend reporting requirements to many health care professionals who apply for or renew a license, certification, or registration, on or after July 1, 2011. Currently licensed Physical Therapists will be required to complete online profiles at their next renewal. All Physical Therapists newly licensed after July 1, 2011 and Physical Therapist Assistants will be required to complete online profiles before their applications will be approved.

Physical Therapy Assistant Applications Now Available!
The applications for Certified Physical Therapy Assistants are now available. Applicants may now download, complete and submit their applications to the Division of Registrations. If you are a licensed Physical Therapist, please notify your Physical Therapy Assistants that have not yet signed up to receive notifications from the Board. Please click here for additional details.
