Fingerprint-Based
Criminal History Record Checks
are Required by Law for
Drivers of Certain Passenger Carriers.
Drivers for motor carriers with any of the following types of passenger carrying permits, must pass a criminal history background check. Motor carriers whose drivers are required to be fingerprinted are: Charter Scenic Bus (CSB) permit holders; Luxury Limousine (LL) permit holders; Off-Road Scenic Charter (ORC) permit holders; Children's Activity Bus (CAB) permit holders; and Taxicab certificate holders.
