Levels of Licensure and General Requirements

 

Licensed Social Worker (LSW)

1. Must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Must have a MSW degree from a CSWE approved program.

3. Must show passage of the Intermediate, Advanced, or Clinical Level examination.

4. Must complete a Board-developed jurisprudence examination.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

1. Must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Must hold an MSW degree from a CSWE approved program.

3. Must show passage of the Advanced or Clinical Level ASWB examination.

4. Must document completion of at least two years post degree experience under supervision by an LCSW.

5. Must complete a Board-developed jurisprudence examination.
