License Renewal Information. All mental health licenses, certifications, and registrations will expire on August 31 in odd-numbered years. Renewal notices are mailed to the last known address on file approximately six (6) weeks prior to the expiration date.


Definitions:
  • Original License by Examination. You are applying to take an examination in order to qualify for licensure in Colorado.
    Original License by Endorsement. You hold an active license in another state and wish to apply for licensure in Colorado.
    Renew. You currently hold a Colorado license and are in a renewal period.
  • Reinstate. Your Colorado license has lapsed or expired and you wish to reinstate the license.
    (For purposes of licensure status, the terms "lapsed" and "expired" have the same meaning.)
