Employment Discrimination Intake Packet Information
To file a charge of Employment Discrimination, please complete the following document and return it to the Division of Civil Rights at the address listed in the Packet. The documents are downloadable in Adobe (.pdf) format for your convenience.
NOTE: There is a requirement under the law for you to file the claim within a specific period of time (statute of limitations). For Employment Discrimination charges, under Colorado law the claim must be filed within six months from the date of the last occurrence of the alleged discriminatory act. If this time frame has passed, we cannot investigate your claim.
However, please note that if more than six (6) months, but fewer than 301 days, have passed since the date of the last occurrence of the alleged discriminatory act, the Colorado Civil Rights Division can take your claim and refer it to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), who may be able to investigate your claim. Please contact the Civil Rights Division at 303.894.2997 if you wish to discuss a possible referral.
